Catching Up
Yes, I’m still loving on my low-threshold show-up streak. I don’t know if you recall, but I’ve never been a consistent writer. Like, not at all. And I think part of what was going on this past week to ten days or so was that old habit of taking a break trying to do it’s thing. And it did do its thing. I more or less had a break. BUT! Two very cool things also happened:
I still wrote every day. I got at least a sentence. Yeah, I prioritized other things, but I still managed to show up for the story at least a little bit every day. That’s huge for me.
My breaks used to last F O R E V E R… like, months, and this one only lasted ten days. And one of those days I got 1700 words. That’s huge, too.
Bonus thing: I did a lot of research over those days, and I think the story’s PP1 is better for it! Yay!
I’m behind on making my goal of finishing this story by the 15th, of course, but… if I write 4000 words a day, I can still finish by the 19th. That ain’t bad. Probably won’t happen. Four thousand words is still a stretch for me—but I did it yesterday!
Still, even if I keep at my current average pace, which is probably about 2200 words or so, this will still be the fastest story I’ve written to date. Which is pretty cool.

WWT Tool Kit Craft Card
As mentioned before, I’m making a deck of craft cards to quickly remind myself of techniques while also having a convenient place to keep track of elements like character, conflict, and theme specific to each story. This week’s card is the midpoint, cause I’ve got it coming up in a few thousand words.
Thank you for reading!
I hope this helped you, and I hope your writing goes well this week.
Keep at it,
Megan
